I'm seeing people actually expecting V6 to sound like SynthV
If V6 sounded like SynthV I would have been very upset because then that's not Vocaloid anymore

People are deadass saying “It sounds nothing like SynthV or Ace!” like that’s supposed to be bad, because as we all know, realism is the one and only determining factor for whether a synth is good or bad. I’ve blocked Twitter for this very reason. I don’t have the mental stability for it right now.

Right!!! That’s why I keep it limited when it comes to interacting with Vsynth fandom on twitter too I don’t think it needs to strive for super realism either, personally I’m really happy with the middle ground they’ve found with keeping the traditional Vocaloid sound while adding the naturalness (don’t know how to word that better gkgldlfg) that comes with AI training. Gumi AI is my favourite of all the updated AI banks so far cuz I think they’ve perfectly preserved the sound of her voice but still managed to keep it fresh with how natural she can sound in V6 now. It doesn’t sound like just a port to me at all and it sucks that some can’t appreciate that cuz they’re either bitter she didn’t release on their fave engine or they have a weird grudge against Yamaha (or actually in most cases both of these apply)

People are hard, and honestly, I feel like V6 doesn't look as rushed as V5 was (even though it seems they didn't finish their Chinese support somewow ? Unless i'm wrong)
